2026年度 外国人留学生のための「住友電装株式会社 企業見学会」を実施しました / 2026 Career Support Program for International Students: Company Visit to Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd.

8月20日（木）、日本での就職を希望する外国人留学生を対象とした就職支援の一環として、北勢サテライトのコーディネートのもと、三重県四日市市に本社を置く住友電装株式会社において企業見学会を開催しました。
On Thursday, August 20, we held a company visit for international students seeking employment in Japan as part of our career support program. With the generous cooperation of Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd., headquartered in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, the visit was organized by the Hokusei Satellite Office.

住友電装株式会社との連携による本企画は、今年で3回目の開催となります。今年は、中国、インドネシア、マレーシア、カメルーン共和国、バングラデシュ、タンザニアの6か国から11名の留学生が参加しました。
This year marked the third company visit organized in collaboration with Sumitomo Wiring Systems. A total of 11 international students from six countries--China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cameroon, Bangladesh, and Tanzania--participated.

参加者はまず四日市製作所を訪問し、会社概要について説明を受けました。その後、同社の主力製品であるワイヤーハーネスの製造現場や、製品・技術を紹介する展示室を見学しました。午後からは鈴鹿製作所を訪問し、自動車用電線工場およびエレクトロニクス製品工場を見学しました。
The participants first visited the Yokkaichi Plant, where they received an overview of the company and its business activities. They then toured the production site for wiring harnesses, one of Sumitomo Wiring Systems' core products, as well as a showroom showcasing the company's products and technologies.In the afternoon, they visited the Suzuka Plant, where they toured the manufacturing facilities for automotive wires and cables, as well as electronic products.

見学会終了後に実施したアンケートでは、「会社や製品についての理解が深まった」「日本の工場を間近で見学でき、とても迫力があって感動した」「思っていた以上に人の手による作業が多くて驚いた」など、さまざまな感想が寄せられました。
In a post-visit questionnaire, participants shared a variety of impressions, including: "I gained a deeper understanding of the company and its products," "It was exciting and impressive to see a Japanese factory up close," and "I was surprised to see that more of the assembly work was done by hand than I had expected."

今回の企業見学会を通じて、世界33か国でグローバルにものづくりを展開する住友電装株式会社の事業や技術に触れたことで、留学生たちは自身のキャリアについて考える貴重な機会を得るとともに、同社の高い技術力や職場環境・文化について理解を深めることができました。
Through this company visit, the international students gained valuable insights into their future career paths while learning more about the company's advanced technologies, workplace environment, and corporate culture, as well as its global operations spanning 33 countries.
