ホーチミン市師範大学ご一行が本学学長を表敬訪問されました / Delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education Pays Courtesy Visit to the president of Mie University

2026年4月17日（金）、ホーチミン市師範大学ご一行（学長他8名）が、本学学長を表敬訪問されました。

On Friday, April 17, 2026, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, including the President and eight other members, paid a courtesy visit to the President of Mie University.

本学は、毎年実施している「さくらサイエンスプログラム」における受入れについて、先方よりこれまでの継続的な協力に対する謝意を受けました。本年度は、本プログラムが開始されてから10年の節目にあたり、その歩みと成果が改めて共有されました。

During the visit, the delegation expressed their appreciation for Mie University's continued cooperation in hosting the Sakura Science Program, which has been conducted annually. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the program, and its progress and achievements were reviewed and shared.

また、表敬訪問に先立ち、ホーチミン市師範大学からの留学生との交流の機会も設けられました。参加者は和やかな雰囲気の中で交流を深め、互いの文化や学びについて理解を深める有意義な時間となりました。

Prior to the courtesy visit, an exchange session was also held with international students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. The participants engaged in friendly interactions, creating a meaningful opportunity to deepen mutual understanding of each other's cultures and academic experiences.

本プログラムを通じて、多くの学生が大きく成長し、世界各国の大学院へ進学するなど、国際的に活躍する人材が育成されています。また、准教授として教育・研究に携わる人材も輩出されており、本プログラムの教育的意義の高さが示されています。こうした人材の育成は、国際社会における学術交流の発展にも寄与するものと期待されます。

Through this program, many students have achieved significant growth and have gone on to pursue graduate studies at universities around the world, contributing to the development of globally active human resources. Some participants have also become associate professors, playing important roles in education and research, which demonstrates the high educational value of the program. These outcomes are expected to further contribute to the advancement of academic exchange in the international community.

さらに、こうした実績を背景に、ベトナム政府からの期待も一層高まっています。今後は、STEM教育のさらなる推進に加え、物理学分野のみならず、数学分野の強化にも取り組んでいく方針が共有されました。あわせて、学生交流の一層の充実や、教育・研究分野における連携の深化についても意見交換が行われました。

Furthermore, based on these achievements, expectations from the Vietnamese government have continued to rise. It was also shared that efforts will be made to further promote STEM education, with a focus not only on physics but also on strengthening mathematics. In addition, both sides exchanged views on enhancing student exchange and deepening collaboration in education and research.

本学は、今後もホーチミン市師範大学との連携を一層強化し、意義ある国際交流のさらなる発展に努めてまいります。

The university looks forward to further strengthening its partnership with Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and continuing to expand meaningful international collaboration in the years to come.
