中国駐名古屋総領事館が本学を表敬訪問されました / Mie University Holds Courtesy visit with The Consul General of The People's Republic of China in Nagoya

2025年11月13日（木）、中国駐名古屋総領事館が本学国際戦略機構を表敬訪問されました。
On Thursday, November 13, 2025, representatives from the Consulate-General of China in Nagoya paid a courtesy visit to our university's Organization for International Education and Research.

会談では、まず両者がこれまでの交流を振り返りながら、今後の学生交流のさらなる活性化について意見を交わしました。日本の少子化が進む中、本学では国際化推進の観点から、海外からの留学生受け入れをより積極的に進めていく方針を共有しました。
During the meeting, both sides reflected on past exchanges and discussed ways to further promote student mobility between our institutions. In light of Japan's declining birthrate, we shared our intention to actively enhance the acceptance of international students as part of our efforts to advance internationalization and enrich the academic environment.

また、日本が地震をはじめとする自然災害の多い国であることを踏まえ、本学における大規模災害発生時の対応についても議論が行われました。特に、地震発生時の津波対策として、避難場所の周知、多言語による安全情報発信、非常食等の防災備品の確保など、留学生が安心して学べる環境づくりの重要性を確認しました。
The discussion also covered the university's preparedness for major natural disasters, given Japan's frequent occurrence of earthquakes and other hazards. Particular attention was paid to tsunami preparedness, including clear guidance on evacuation sites, multilingual dissemination of safety information for international students, and securing essential emergency supplies such as food and water.

表敬訪問後には、中国人留学生との会談も行われました。ここでは、日本で生活するうえでのマナーや、近年国内で話題となっている熊の出没に関する注意喚起など、日常生活の安全に関する情報共有が行われ、留学生にとって有意義な交流の場となりました。
Following the courtesy visit, the delegation also met with Chinese students studying at our university. This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss daily life in Japan, including social etiquette, as well as safety precautions related to the recent increase in bear sightings nationwide. The session served as a meaningful occasion for the students to receive practical advice and reaffirm their sense of security while living in Japan.

今回の訪問を通じて、学術交流のさらなる強化や、留学生が安全・安心に学べる環境づくりの重要性を改めて認識するとともに、今後さらに連携を深めていくことを確認する、貴重な機会となりました。
Through this visit, we were able to reaffirm the importance of strengthening academic exchange and creating a safe and supportive environment for international students, while also confirming our commitment to further deepen collaboration in the future.
