2025年9月22日（月）第31回 Tri-U国際シンポジウム＆セミナー・Day1が開催されました。/The 31st Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium - Day 1 was held on Monday, September 22, 2025.

今年で31回目となる「Tri-U国際シンポジウム＆セミナー」は、三重大学がホスト校として開催を迎え、三重大学のほか、江蘇大学（中国）、チェンマイ大学（タイ）、広西大学（中国）、IPB大学（インドネシア）、メージョー大学（タイ）の4か国・6つの大学から約100名の学生・教職員が参加しました。
Now in its 31st year, the Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium was hosted by Mie University, welcoming approximately 100 students and faculty members from six universities across four countries: Mie University, Jiangsu University (China), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Guangxi University (China), IPB University (Indonesia), and Maejo University (Thailand).

Tri-Uは、三重大学、江蘇大学、チェンマイ大学が設立にかかわった国際交流プログラムで、学生による英語での事前に設定されたテーマ別での研究発表と、開催当日にテーマが発表されるワークショップが中心となっています。
Tri-U is an international exchange program originally established by Mie University, Jiangsu University, and Chiang Mai University. It centers on student-led research presentations in English based on pre-assigned themes, as well as workshops where themes are announced on the day of the event.

23日のDay2では、4つの共通テーマ（「Population」「Food」「Energy」「Environment」）にホスト校が独自に設定するテーマ（「Disaster Management」）を加えた5つのテーマについて、学生が英語による研究発表と質疑応答を行います。
On Day 2, September 23, students will give research presentations and engage in Q&A sessions in English on five themes: four common themes－"Population," "Food," "Energy," and "Environment,"－plus an additional theme, "Disaster Management," set independently by the host university.

これらに先立ちDay1では、三重大学三翠ホールにて、参加者全委員によるフォトセッションの後、生物資源学研究科の呉 婷婷 助教の進行によりオープニングセレモニーが行われました。
Day 1 began with a photo session involving all participants at the Mie University Sansui Hall, followed by the opening ceremony, moderated by Assistant Professor WU Tingting of the Graduate School of Bioresources.

セレモニー冒頭のオープニングスピーチでは、三重大学の伊藤正明学長が「Tri-Uは、学術的な議論の場であるだけでなく、異なる文化的・学術的背景を持つ学生や教員が集い、意見を交わし、共に学び合う貴重な機会です。学問・文化理解・友情というTri-Uの中核をなす価値は、今なお私たちを鼓舞し、若者たちが国際的な視野を広げ、相互につながる世界の中で主体的に行動する力を育んでいます。ここ三重の地で学術セッションやワークショップでの議論、文化交流を通じて、充実した経験を得られることを願っております。また、学術的な活動にとどまらず、三重の豊かな文化、日常生活、そして美しい自然にもぜひ触れていただきたいと思います。皆さまの滞在が、知的な刺激に満ちたものとなるだけではく、個人的にも思い出深い体験となることを願っております。」とメッセージを送りました。
In his opening speech, Mie University President ITO Masaaki shared the following message: "This seminar and symposium are not only venues for scholarly discussion, but also meaningful opportunities for students and faculty from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds to come together, share ideas and learn from one another. The core values of Tri-U － scholarship, cultural understanding and friendship － continue to inspire and empower young people to broaden their global perspectives and take initiative in our increasingly interconnected world. We at Mie University are deeply honored to host this year's symposium. We sincerely hope that all participants will have enriching experiences through academic sessions, engaging in workshop discussions, and cultural exchanges here in Mie. Beyond the academic program, we warmly invite you to explore the rich cultural heritage, everyday life, and natural beauty of our region. We hope your time here will be not only intellectually stimulating but also personally memorable.".

参加大学間での記念品交換に続いて行われた特別講演では、今回の独自設定テーマである「Disaster Management」に関連して、三重大学附属病院 病院長特命補佐 岸和田昌之 准教授から「Disaster Management: Take it Personally」と題した講演が行われました。
Following the exchange of commemorative gifts among participating universities, a special lecture titled "Disaster Management: Take it Personally" was delivered by Associate Professor KISHIWADA Masashi, Assistant to the Director of Mie University Hospital.

続いて行われたウェルカムパーティーでは、食事を囲みながら、アンサンブルサークル「ぶるさぁ。」、合気道部及び三重大学応援団の協力によって、賑やかな雰囲気の中、学生間の懇親が深められました。
The evening's Welcome Party brought students together over food and performances by the student music circle "Burusaa," the Aikido Club, and the Mie University Cheering Squad, creating a lively atmosphere that deepened connections among participants.

第31回目のTri-Uは、9月25日（木）までの4日間にわたり開催され、三重大学を舞台に学生間の活発な国際交流が展開されます。
The 31st Tri-U will continue through Thursday, September 25, with four days of vibrant international exchange unfolding at Mie University.
