マレーシアパハン大学と会談を実施しました/Mie University Holds Meeting with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA)

2025年7月23日（水）、三重大学は2025年大阪・関西万博の「高等教育週間」イベントのため来日しているマレーシアパハン大学（Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, UMPSA）と、大阪市内にて会談を行いました。
三重大学とUMPAAは、2024年6月25日に大学間協定を締結しており、特に教員間における国際共同研究の進展と学生の参画が期待されています。
今回の会談では、学生の短期・長期派遣の可能性について意見が交わされたほか、共同研究の拡大、教職員の交流の実施についても話し合われました。両大学ともに前向きな姿勢を示し、今後の具体的な交流計画に向けて検討を進めていくこととなりました。
三重大学は引き続き、アジア圏においても海外大学との連携を深め、教育・研究・実務の各分野においてグローバルな視野を持った人材育成を推進してまいります。
On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Mie University held a meeting in Osaka with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), which is currently visiting Japan to participate in the "Higher Education Week" at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Mie University and UMPSA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 25, 2024. The partnership particularly aims to promote international joint research among faculty members, with active involvement from students also anticipated.
During the meeting, both universities exchanged views on the possibility of short- and long-term student exchanges, the expansion of collaborative research projects, and mutual exchanges between office staff. Both sides expressed a strong willingness to further develop the partnership and agreed to continue discussions toward concrete future collaboration plans.
Mie University remains committed to deepening its partnerships with universities abroad, especially in Asia, and to fostering globally minded human resources through education, research, and professional engagement.
