【盆踊り体験】栗真町屋町の地域の方と留学生との国際交流 / 【Bon Odori Experience】International exchange between local residents of Kurimamachiya-cho, and international students

2026年8月1日（土）、津市栗真町屋町の専称寺で開催された「盆踊り大会」に、地域の住民の方々とともに本学の留学生やその家族、卒業生など総勢60名が参加しました。本学国際戦略機構の松岡知津子准教授の引率のもと、参加者は地域の皆さまと交流しながら夏のひとときを楽しみました。
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, approximately 60 international students, their family members, alumni, and local residents participated in the Bon Odori Festival held at Senshoji Temple in Kurimamachiya-cho, Tsu City. The group attended under the guidance of Associate Professor Chizuko Matsuoka of the Organization for International Education and Research.

留学生たちは浴衣を着て盆踊りを楽しみ、「炭坑節」や「津音頭」を踊りました。今年は事前に行われた太鼓や盆踊りの練習にも参加していたことから、本番では自信を持って踊りの輪に加わる姿が見られました。特に、練習を重ねた学生たちはやぐらの上でも堂々と踊り、その姿が会場を盛り上げていました。
Wearing yukata, the participants enjoyed traditional Bon Odori dances, including Tanko Bushi and Tsu Ondo. As many of the students had taken part in taiko drumming and Bon Odori practice sessions in advance, they were able to join the dances with confidence on the day of the festival. Some of the students who had practiced enthusiastically even danced proudly on the yagura, the raised platform at the center of the festival, helping to energize the atmosphere.

地域の方々に温かく迎えられ、笑顔で踊りを楽しむ留学生の姿が印象的でした。踊りだけでなく、地域の皆さまと交流しながら日本の伝統文化や夏の風情を肌で感じることができ、参加者にとって大変貴重な経験となりました。
The international students were warmly welcomed by members of the local community and enjoyed spending time together throughout the evening. Through not only dancing but also interacting with local residents, they experienced the traditions and atmosphere of a Japanese summer firsthand, making the event a valuable and memorable cultural experience.

このような地域行事への参加は、留学生にとって日本の伝統文化や地域社会への理解を深める貴重な機会となっています。ご協力いただいた栗真町屋町自治会の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。
