・Update of Registration History

1.International students(Regular Students,Research Students,Short Term Students)

1.International students are asked to check in with the International Relations Division before the 10th of every month to verify their enrollment status.

2.International students whose status has not been confirmed for the month will be contacted by telephone or e-mail.

3.International students who have not verified their enrollment status by the 10th of the following month (i.e., the second

month) will be contacted by telephone or e-mail, and their academic supervisors will also be contacted.

4.A written warning will be sent to international students who have not verified their enrollment status by the 10th of the subsequent month (i.e., the third month), and their academic supervisors will also be contacted.

5.Students who have not verified their enrollment status for three or more months will be reported as missing to the Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau and MEXT. (The Immigration Bureau will then commence an investigation.)

2.International students on leave of absence

1.When an international student requests a leave of absence, the Student Affairs Section of each faculty will collect all relevant information, such as their contact information while on leave, and notify the International Relations Division.

2.Using the information provided, the International Relations Division will then contact these students to verify their enrollment status by the 10th of every month (excluding those students who have returned home temporarily on their leave of absence).

3.If a student cannot be reached, the International Relations Division will contact his or her academic supervisor and ask for assistance in verifying the student's enrollment status.

4.Students who have not verified their enrollment status for three or more months will be reported as missing to the Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau and MEXT. (The Immigration Bureau will then commence an investigation.)

3.International students on suspension

1.The Student Affairs Section of each faculty will notify the International Relations Division whenever the Faculty Council decides to suspend an international student.

2.The International Relations Division will e-mail the academic supervisor once a month to ask about the student's situation.

3.As soon as a student's suspension has been lifted by the Faculty Council, the International Student Committee member, academic supervisor, or Student Affairs Section staff in each faculty will notify the International Relations Division.
